WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- Yes, I found that picture at cuteotters.com. That's what I do when I get animal stories. I find cute pictures. I now want an otter.
My favorite Christmas movie always has been and always will be Emmett Otter. #Barbecue #AintNoHoleInTheWashtub - Now that I think about that, I need to steal my one year old niece, Nora, and watch this with her. Christmas in July. She will LOVE it.
Unfortunately though, the closest I will ever get to one will be at the Thompson Park Zoo. On Wednesday, the zoo is bringing back two North American River Otters, Otis and Ricky. The Watertown Daily Times has the details.
The zoo tells me it will still be a few weeks before they are viewable to the public, but don't worry because we'll be there Wednesday to get some video of the little guys. It should tide you over until then. (They have to wait because of the transition and they want to make sure that's going well).
We'll let you know when they are ready to be seen.
