FAYETTEVILLE -- For the hundreds of people living on the streets in Fayetteville, a simple hat or scarf can mean so much.

With not enough shelter beds to support the city's homeless population, many are forced to bare the freezing temperatures.

But Seth's Wish is working to distribute warm clothes and food to the homeless, baring the cold for just a few minutes, to make life a little warmer for those who will be outside all night.

"We had some issues during the last cold snap," said Lindsey Wofford. "One of our friends actually passed away. When we went out that next night, people were so grateful to have an extra blanket. It really hit everybody when we actually lost a friend."

In this snow, the hats and scarves surely put a smile on everyone's face.

"You have nothing, which means you'll freeze to death unless some gets you some help," said Edward West, a Seth's Wish recipient. "These ladies provide nice, warm blankets, sleeping bags, gloves, and hand warmers. It's perfect. I thank God for sending these ladies along."

If you'd like to help Seth's Wish keep Fayetteville's homeless population warm this winter, please contact Lindsey Wofford at (910) 476-6613.
