In Focus host Elizabeth Jeneault has been with Spectrum News since 2013.

While she started her family in Texas, she was born and raised in upstate New York. 

Before moving to Austin, she was working as a reporter in her hometown of Syracuse for Spectrum News Central / Northern New York. She worked there after getting her foot in the door as a bureau reporter in Watertown, New York.

Elizabeth graduated with honors from New York University with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. 

But did you know she loves to work out, and even hopes to open her own gym in the future? Here's your chance to learn a little more about her.

Here are some other things you might not know about Liz:

1. She went into labor while anchoring the morning news for Spectrum! She stayed for most of her shift and then gave birth to her beautiful daughter Eliana.

3. Katie Couric was her idol as a child. She begged her parents to take her to see the Today Show.

4. Liz loves working out and would like to open her own gym someday. 

5. She was a vegetarian for a decade but now loves a good steak. 

6. Liz met her fiancé the way most people meet their significant others these days, on a dating app!

7. Her favorite type of music is rap. Liz's mom took her to her first rap concert at the age of 13.

8. Snowboarding is one of her favorite activities! She even competed in a couple rail jam competitions when she was younger.

9. Liz used to bartend for extra crash, so she knows how to make one mean frozen margarita (Her favorite)!

10. Liz is allergic to bees and panics whenever one comes near her.
