MORRISVILLE, N.C. -- Raleigh-Durham International Airport police are asking for your help to find a missing employee.
They say Allison Cope took a break at Terminal 2 Monday afternoon and hasn't been seen since.
We spoke with Allison Cope’s roommate of 10 years. She says that Cope is like a sister to her.
She thinks Cope went to the parking lot during her break to get car registration paperwork, because she just texted with Cope about their insurance policy.
“The fact that she only took her keys and left her purse and her phone...she has her phone glued to her 24/7 so I don’t think she’d drive off into the universe with no phone,” said Kosinski.
Sarah Kosinski says for her roommate Allison Cope to vanish while on break from her job of four years at the Terminal 2 Starbucks is completely unlike her.
“If you need someone she’s the person that you call so it just doesn’t make sense for her to just walk off her job,” said Kosinski.
Kosinski tells us she’s been having conversations with RDU airport police since Monday night, but hasn’t heard any new information.
RDU police say Cope didn’t return from a scheduled break at 3:00 p.m. Monday.
“There’s not really any camera footage of her. They have like one thing of her, they said she clocked out for her break and she just didn’t come back. And then we expressed concern and said that’s not really like her. Her manager expressed extreme concern,” said Kosinski.
Cope drives a 2014 silver Ford Fusion with North Carolina plate EHA 2271. It has a whole window wrap that reads “Change of Heart Pit Bull Rescue.”
Kosinski doesn’t believe Cope would willingly leave the area during her break, even though police are telling her she badged out.
“She’s never driven off the premises on a break, to my knowledge ever,” she said.
Kosinski is preparing for the worst while hoping for the best -- Cope's safe return.
“Like I can hear her saying Sarah I wouldn’t do this, you know I wouldn’t do this and I can just hear it over and over, I wouldn’t do this," she said.
Airport officials describe Cope as 5-foot-6-inches tall and 180 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black Starbucks polo, blue jeans and black shoes.
Police are requesting that if you have any information that may help in their active investigation that you call RDU police at (919) 840-7510.
Raleigh police and the FBI are helping with the search.
