A storefront in Flushing gets a fresh coat of paint after being covered in graffiti.
Representatives from the Flushing Business Improvement District and local leaders gave the Main Street Mall on 41st Road a makeover Thursday.
It was all a part of the Flushing BID Cares initiative which aims to beautify local streets.
The goal is to clean up nearly 100 streets and storefronts in Downtown Flushing within the next two months.
"People live here, people doing business over here and we also have 7-train passengers and we're so close to international airport so we have a lot of tourists in Downtown Flushing so it's crucial that we keep our streets clean and graffiti-free," said Dian Song Yu, Executive Director, Flushing BID.
