AUSTIN, Texas —  Austin Community College is hoping to either build or bring more bioscience and pharmaceutical companies to Austin and Texas.

On Monday, ACC Highland staff showed off the new bioscience incubator which includes 4,000 feet of wet lab space where students can learn and companies can develop their products.

Organizers want to make sure local companies have a built-in workforce.

"Giving our students that hands-on experience they need to go and interview and say 'Yes, I have industry experience. I have these skills and I can be a resource to your company,” said Tyler Drake with ACC.

The tour came after a panel discussion about innovations in the bioscience industry.
