GREENSBORO, N.C. --- Two people are dead after an early morning accident on I-40.
Witnesses say it happened Wednesday morning at around 3:30 near Sandy Ridge Road.
As the SUV tried to merge into traffic, the driver overcorrected to avoid hitting a tractor trailer, and the SUV flipped.
Three people were ejected from the car, and two of them are now deceased.
Another passenger is in critical condition, and four other passengers are stable.
Police are still investigating.
