LIVERPOOL N.Y -- It's a video that was allegedly taken in a homeroom at Soule Road Middle School, and it is causing concern throughout the district.

"I expect them to protect my kid, not the kid that got in trouble. It's like they're protecting him, not my son," explained Soule Road Middle School parent Don House.

The student who appears to be attacked in the video is 13-year-old Jayden House.

"Who knows, he might do it again. If you're not going to own up to what you did and apologize and he might do it again," House said.

Don and Jayden are speaking out about how upset they are over how the district handled the situation. They told reporters that after this fight, the student who attacked House was suspended for 10 days. They say that when that student came back to school, he was offered mediation which he rejected.

"I mean at 14-years-old, they had him sign a piece of paper saying that he wouldn't talk to him anymore. A 14-year-old signing a piece of paper, probably didn't really didn't mean much," Don said.

This is why Don's son Jayden has not been at school for the entire week. They're now looking into other schooling options.

"Now we're the ones who have to find somewhere for my son to go," Don said. "We're the ones who have to drive him to school every morning, and pick him up every my kid didn't do anything. It's just wrong."

We also reached out to school district who would not comment in individual student matters and instead referred us to the district's code of conduct.

The district's code of conduct does say if a student is suspended for more than five days, there will be a hearing, where the student will have an opportunity to explain him or herself. But it did not mention any mediation or what happens after a student returns to school.
