Muslim Sisters of Staten Island held an interfaith forum in honor of Women's History Month.
Five panelists discussed topics related to female empowerment.
The forum took place in Clifton on Saturday.
One of the goals was to unite all faiths.
"What better time. What better month. What better way to show that, you know, we, as woman in all walks of faith are doing what we can do to represent and honor Women's History Month as well," said Jamilah Lasalle with Bait-ul Jamaat.
"I'm really excited. I'm honestly humbled," said Nisma Zakria, a panelist.
Local agencies and organizations including New York City Mayor's Community Affairs Unit and Bait-ul Jamaat helped put on the event.
