15 People Displaced After Mattydale Apartment Building Fire

MATTYDALE, N.Y. -- The Red Cross is helping 15 people after fire damaged a Mattydale apartment building Wednesday afternoon along Roxboro Road.

Firefighters say there was smoke coming out of the windows when they arrived.

Crews from five departments were able to keep most of the damage confined to one apartment.

No injuries were reported.

Tenants will have to stay out of the building for at least 48 hours as investigators work.

There's no word on how the fire started.
