USAA, Geekdom Team Up for Military Coworking Space

SAN ANTONIO — A coworking space for entrepreneurs wants people from the military community to get involved in San Antonio's growing tech industry.

Geekdom is teaming up with USAA to offer a 50 percent membership discount to active duty service members, veterans and military spouses who join Geekdom this year.

Entrepreneurs may have the tech background, but military members say their unique training could fill existing gaps.

"It's also having that strategic planning to say how are we going to do this long term, what options do you have if something fails here, what options do you have to keep moving forward instead of backtracking. And so, that is a great deal of innovation that military veterans can bring into Geekdom,” said Kat Strus, Kaleidoscope Sharing founder.

Geekdom offers month-to-month membership plans.
