AUSTIN, Texas - Travis County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man on Tuesday in connection with a burned body found in a car in Del Valle earlier this year.
Leon Castillo, 29, was arrested on Tuesday for capital murder. He was originally held in Bastrop County before being transferred to the Travis County jail.
Castillo is accused of murdering 27-year-old Aaron Lee Rogers of Bastrop. Rogers’ body was found in the trunk of a burning car on Oct. 30 on the 4000 block Buck Lane in Del Valle.
The body was so badly burned that authorities were unable to identify Rogers until a week after he was found.
Rogers was the seventh body found in Del Valle in recent months, but there is no indication that his death is connected to the others.
