A Brooklyn man was charged Monday for allegedly posing as an attorney.
The state Attorney General's office says Mikhail Perlov scammed victims out of more than $50,000 in legal fees.
He allegedly posted fake ads in Russian newspapers, boasting services in criminal defense, domestic violence, immigration law, and other legal matters.
Perlov met with clients at his office in Sheepshead Bay, then at public locations and his home after the Attorney General ordered him to stop last year.
He is now facing various felony charges for fraud and grand larceny, and could face up to seven years in prison if convicted.
