Staten Islanders have some words of their own for an outspoken actor with a harsh view of his home borough.

"This is how the five boroughs in New York voted. You see that big red open wound. That is Staten Island, the herpes of boroughs," Pete Davidson said when he appeared on Saturday Night Live on November 19.

The cast member and Staten Island native referred to the borough's overwhelming support for President-elect Donald Trump.

Davidson even went as far as to say that Hurricane Sandy should have "finished the job" when it made landfall four years ago.

The actor said his comments were all in the name of comedy, but we caught up with Staten Islanders who just don't see it that way.

"I think he should apologize for what he said because it's kinda hurtful. Being that I'm a Staten Islander too, it's kind of offensive," said a Staten Island resident.

"I don't know who this guy is but he needs to get a life or maybe make some friends," said another.

Despite his harsh criticism, Davidson did say he will be spending Thanksgiving with his family in the borough.
