AUSTIN, Texas -- It's now the second weekend of the Austin City Limits Music Festival -- and it is chock full of tunes, grub and fun to be had.

FULL COVERAGE: ACL Music Festival 2016

Were there things you forgot to bring with you during the first weekend that would have saved you some inconvenience?

Here's a list of items we feel are must-haves to enjoying ACL Fest worry-free:

1. Your wristband: It goes without saying, but even the best of us have left our car keys behind or realized we've forgotten our IDs at the airport. Your wristband is the only way you're getting in and out of the venue, so pull that zip-tie and have the wristband on you at all times. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to register your wristband online and sign up for ACL Cashless - that'll mean you may not need to bring this next item:

2. Cash: Some - but not all - of the vendors take plastic. If you plan to eat and imbibe to your heart's content, you may want to consider linking your credit or debit card to your wristband. Otherwise, there are ATMs throughout the park - but be mindful of the fees! The green stuff is also welcome. Also take note that the ACL Art Market is cash-or-card only.

3. Bottled water: Sealed bottles of pre-filled water are allowed to be taken inside the festival - two per person. Alternatively, you can bring a reusable bottle or a Camelbak and refill them at one of the many hydration stations set up throughout the park.

4. Sunscreen (and plenty of it): It's Texas. It may be October, but that sun is still pretty relentless in these parts. SPF 30 or better is recommended by the doctors at Austin Regional Clinic. Remember to reapply it often - "waterproof" does not mean "one and done." While you're at it, bringing the ChapStick with you wouldn't be a bad idea for your lips.

5. Earplugs: The folks at ARC also want to remind you that your hearing can certainly be affected by all the loud beats blaring from multiple stages in all different directions. Guard your ears and save yourself any unnecessary pain later.

6. Chair and/or blanket: There's nothing wrong with sitting directly in the grass, but it can irritate your skin after awhile. Collapsible chairs are allowed, but be aware there are several "chair free zones" designated throughout the park. A blanket is also a nice and comfortable way to catch the rays and the tunes.

7. Spare time: Many people don't think about this one - but if you're planning on visiting just for an hour or two for a lunch break or as one of many stops you have planned on a busy schedule - think again. Especially during the midday and end-of-night timeframes, there will be hundreds of people lining up for the buses, taxis, rideshares, etc., to say nothing of those strolling through the venue. Give yourself the time to allow for transit to and from the festival, as well as time to walk around and get to all the stages and booths you're wanting to visit.
