THRALL, Texas – Signs of growth in the small Williamson County city of Thrall are evident in aerial drone footage posted to YouTube this week.

Architectural firm Fromberg Associates posted the video which shows current progress on the steel skeleton of what will soon become the new Thrall High School.

Construction began earlier this year. Once completed, the new high school building will boast more than 55,000 square feet of space, with room for nine classrooms, three science labs, library, band hall and gym.

While work continues to build that new facility, construction continues on additions throughout the district’s campus, including an addition to the elementary school and various improvements to the overall infrastructure.

Voters approved an $8+ million bond in May 2015 to pay for the project. Six previous attempts to pass a bond package for a new high school failed at the polls.

The projects are expected to be complete in time for the new high school to open in Fall 2017.
