ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A traffic alert to pass along on Rochester's northside.
Emergency crews are attending to a water main break near the intersection of Hollenbeck and Norton Streets.
"We received a call from the 911 center that there was a large amount of water spraying out of the sewer grates in the area and the company that responded found a large amount of water running down the street," said battalion chief Patrick Agostinelli. "The street was already starting to buckle and they checked one of the businesses in the area, they found a lot of water running into the basement."
Rochester police say Norton will be shut down in both directions between North Clinton and Conkey for at least two to three days to perform repairs.
