SALISBURY -- Rowan-Salisbury Schools were celebrating all day Wednesday. They received the results of last year's testing.

The school system was finally able to get off the State of North Carolina Low Performing School District list. Superintendent Dr. Lynn Moody says it has taken a lot of hard work, but she couldn’t be happier.

“It’s been a real challenge for us because our students come with a lot of challenges, but we enjoy that,” said Dr. Moody. “We embrace that diversity in our school district and our teachers worked really hard to show progress.”

This news has really added excitement both for parents and students in the classrooms. And Dr. Moody says the district plans to work even harder this school year.
