SAN ANTONIO — If you have kids getting ready to compete in University Interscholastic League or after school sports, Impact Urgent Care is offering free baseline concussion evaluation tests.
Testing is available for athletes ages 10 and older and doctors recommend baseline evaluations be taken before the beginning of the school year.
The test measures brain health, and the recorded information is then compared to information gathered after an injury.
Concussion symptoms include dizziness, balance difficulty and headaches. Recovery can take anywhere from one to three weeks, depending on the severity of the accident.
The test takes about 30 minutes, and you can call the number on your screen to schedule a test.
Parents can schedule the test by calling 210-899-7920.
