CHARLOTTE – CMPD says the case of missing 23-year-old Truc Quan “Sandy” Le is being turned over to the homicide unit.

"This is one of the situations where I say we hope for the best but plan for the worst,” said Major Cam Selvey with the CMPD Investigations Unit.

Le and two other young people, Ahmia Feaster, 19, and Alexandro Castillo, 17, have been missing days.

Police found Le's black Toyota Corolla in Phoenix and now, they believe Feaster and Castillo are in Mexico.

Investigators say there are warrants for both Castillo and Feaster's arrests for stealing Le's car

CMPD said this is an active investigation and this doesn't mean a homicide has happened but they're concerned for Le's safety.

"We're going to investigate as seriously and as vigorously as we do any investigation, but especially with the eye on if it were to go toward a homicide that we have done all that we can do to bring some closure and justice to her family if we go down that past week,” said Major Selvey.

Feaster’s family said their daugther called on Saturday morning for a few minutes but then quickly hung up.

Relatives of 23-year-old Tru Quan Le say she was last traced to a convenience store on Eastway Drive where she was to meet a friend who owed her $1,000.

However, family members say instead of depositing the money she withdrew another $1,000.

A private investigator for the Le family said they’re devasted and shocked by the latest news but they’re hopeful. They’re also asking the public not to give up hope and to keep searching for Le.

Family members say Alexandro Castillo left home on Tuesday, driven by 19-year-old Ahmia Feaster

Police want help tracking down all three. If you've seen them, you are asked to call 911. There’s also a $10,000 reward is being offered for information about these disappearances.
