AUSTIN, Texas — Glass fell Thursday from the Austonian skyscraper in downtown Austin, shattering on Congress Avenue below.

Emergency crews shut down Congress between Second and Third streets to investigate.

No one was hurt, but it did slightly damage two cars. They're still trying to figure out why the glass fell.

"The glass company has been contacted and is responding. They don't know the reason why the glass has fallen off the balcony, so that's still under investigation. No one lives on that floor, and there's no construction on that floor," said Austin Fire Department's Battalion Chief Richard Thompson. 

The Austonian is 56 stories tall and opened in 2010.
