ELMIRA, N.Y. -- It will soon cost more to park at the Elmira Corning Regional Airport.
The Chemung County Legislature approved a rate increase, the first since 2011.
The daily maximum rate is going up by $1 in the economy lot, and $2 in the short and long term lots.
Officials say the increase is needed to cover operations and maintenance costs.
They're also planning to expand existing parking areas.
The increase is set to go into effect on September 7th.
