The "Judge Ben Wiles" boat celebrated its 30th birthday Sunday.

The boat has been cruising around Skaneateles Lake for 30 years. During that time, the 65-foot-long vessel has carried hundreds of thousands of passengers.

"It's very important to me as a family member and I know the rest of our family because the Judge was the first vessel we built ourselves that we designed in particular for cruising on this like. My father Peter Wiles founded this company and this was his dream. The Judge Ben Wiles was named for his father, my grandfather who was a judge in Syracuse," said Sarah Wiles, Mid Lakes Navigation co-owner.

Those taking part in sightseeing tours on the boat were also treated to a slice of birthday cake. Coming later this summer will be a new vessel that can also be found on Skaneateles Lake.
