SAN ANTONIO — Geek Squad agents and Best Buy employees are getting kids involved in a two-day technology camp.
Teens from a typically underserved community have the chance to explore and experiment with some of the latest technology.
Geek Squad is making software, music and film classes available to youth who normally wouldn't have access to them.
The free program, also features 3-D printing and robotics.
One 15-year-old junior agent, who runs his own business, says he's putting the video and game design skills to good use.
"Sometimes when I'm doing graphic design jobs they're like 'Oh, can you make this video design cover for me?' or, 'Can you make the HTML for this?' And normally, I'd say, no I don't know how to do that. But, because of Geek Squad, I can," said Jeremiah Gonzalez, Geek Squad junior agent.
The Best Buy Teen Tech Center is being hosted at the Family Service Association’s The Neighborhood Place through Thursday.
