19-Year-Old Accused of Beating Man to Death With Bare Hands Faces 25 Years to Life in Prison

A Cheektowaga man faces 25 years to life in prison after police say he beat a man with his bare hands which caused his death last month.

Cody Jeffords, 19, was arraigned on second-degree murder charges in Erie County Court Thursday. He's accused of severely beating Justin Vanderwalker, 19, after finding him with his girlfriend. Vanderwalker died three days later from his injuries.

Jeffords is due back in court in August.
