CHARLOTTE -- The former Harding University High School staff member assaulted by students says she may take legal action against Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

Annette Albright says she was attacked by a group of students, who are now charged for the assault, after she told them to get to class, and it was all caught on cell phone video.

Albright says CMS then called her to tell her she can no longer work in the school district even as a substitute, which she planned to do for the fourth year this fall.

Now she's outraged since she claims she was the victim in the fight.

"There was no way that I thought that one would ever attack me because I have such a good rapport with my students and it's heartbreaking, and I feel betrayed by my employer who won't even say 'are you ok?" said Albright.

CMS says Albright was in a temporary position which ended June 10th and she is welcome to apply to any open positions within the district.
