ALBANY, N.Y. -- Between the Tulip Festival in Ellenville and Mother's Day, it's been a busy weekend for florists around the region.
Staff at the Blooming Boutique in Kingston say they almost didn't have enough flowers to meet this year's demand.
And even had to pick up more on Saturday to ensure they had enough.
"It was incredibly busy," Blooming Boutique Florist Steven Beckerman said. "We sold probably 150 dozen roses in addition to doing about 250 deliveries or so."
Roses and mixed bouquets were the most popular at the boutique this year.
Mother's Day is the second biggest day of the year for florists behind Valentine's Day.
