AUSTIN, Texas -- Paleo diet experts and lovers descended on Austin this weekend for the Paleo F(x) convention.
The Palmer Events Center hosted thousands of attendees from around the world.
Paleo dieters don't eat processed foods and try to stick with foods that come from nature.
Enthusiasts got the inside scoop on modern wheat production, and insight into how Texas families can eat to be healthier.
They also tried new foods, joined in on exercise classes and learned how to better live the paleo lifestyle.
"It's not just diet, it's an all-encompassing health and wellness movement and that's what we're spearheading and that's what every person in this venue at the Palmer Event center has that same mindset of -- that they are in control of their own health," said Keith Norris of Paleo F(x).
Experts from the new documentary "What's with Wheat," were also there to speak about the film and answer questions.
