ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire at a bar on Mt. Read Boulevard.
Crews arrived on scene to My Apartment bar around 4:30 a.m. where they saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the building, which is on the border of Greece and Rochester.
The building is made mostly of wood, causing the fire to spread fairly quickly. The bar was not open at the time and no one was inside. There's an apartment next door, the residents there were evacuated.
"There's no damage to our place at all but I looked down the road and I saw the flames, firetrucks were coming. Our neighbors were all gathering outside trying to figure out what was going on," said Marky Hutt of Rochester.
Firefighters from both the Ridge Road Fire District and the Rochester Fire Department responded to the fire. No one was injured.
