GATES, N.Y. -- Clint Hurtt, a longtime college football assistant coach and currently on the defensive staff of the Chicago Bears, stopped Monday by Gates Chili High School. The 1996 graduate says he wanted to visit with the kids and talk to them.

"You know, school's a lot different now then when I was here, but I know that it's good to be a positive role model and get a chance to speak to some of the kids," said Hurtt. "Try to get through to some that may be going through issues like I was when I was a young kid. If I can motivate a couple and get through to them, it's been a positive thing."

Before Chicago, Hurtt cut his teeth in college ball with Florida International, "The U" as a Miami alumnus, and the Louisville Cardinals.
