Police are investigating the case of a missing Bronx nurse as a homicide.

Officials say Mahfuza Rahman, 30, has been missing for three months.

Rahman is a nurse at Bellevue Hospital, where her co-worker reported her missing last week, saying she hasn't been to work since Dec. 8.

Sources told NY1 that hospital officers visited her home Dec. 14th and spoke with a man they thought was her husband.

Sources said that the man told them Rahman went back to Bangladesh.

"She had no relatives in the country, so we're kind of at a tough spot with that," said NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce. "But having gotten her phone work back, we're just now getting credit cards that the family used to see if we can place their whereabouts."

Police said they believe Rahman's 9-year-old daughter is with her father in Bangladesh.

Investigators said they tried contacting him.
