WILMINGTON -- On April 9th, Lighthouse Beer and Wine is hosting the inaugural Wilmington Brewery Showcase, featuring all eight breweries in the Port City.

Along with beer sampling, guest can expect a variety of music and local food trucks.

Organizers say this is a step closer to recognizing Wilmington as a brewery community.

"I think it’s going to put Wilmington on the map as terms of the brewery scene. We are a bottle shop that's been open for eighteen years, it’s going to bring more people into Wilmington and let them see what Wilmington has to offer. I think it’s good for everyone, it’s really a win-win," said Jason Adams of Lighthouse Beer and Wine

All proceeds benefit Chords for a Cause, a local non-profit that raises money for local and national charities.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Lighthouse Beer and Wine, their website or any of the participating breweries.

Participating breweries include: Wilmington Brewing Company, Flytrap Brewing, Broomtail Craft Brewery, Ironclad Brewery, Check Six Brewing Company, Good Hops Brewing, Front Street Brewery and Waterline Brewing Company.
