ALBANY, N.Y. -- Police said Yudelka Almonte-Lecler was driving with five children under the age of 12 in her car and was then charged with DWI after a traffic stop.

During the stop, which officers said happened just after 5 a.m. Sunday on Grand Street, officers say Almonte-Lecler, 36, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, failed the field sobriety tests, and was then taken into custody. Almonte-Lecler was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated and faces additional citations.

She was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court, where bail was set at $10,000.

The arrest came as part of a crackdown on DWI in Albany County during Super Bowl weekend.
