NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- The Niagara Parks Police Service in Canada is reminding hikers to be careful after rescuing two international students from the Niagara Gorge Sunday night.

Police say they got a 911 call around 6:45 p.m. Sunday night.

They say two 26-year-old male students had started a hike in the afternoon, but got lost when it got dark.

First responders found them along the gorge wall.

The Parks Police High Angle team pulled them back up.

They were not hurt.

Police say in addition to bringing food, water and a cell phone, hikers should stay on marked trails and hike during the daylight.
