SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. -- Former NBA player Jayson Williams has been arrested and charged with DWI.
Sullivan County sheriff's deputies responded to a single-car crash call on Route 121 in Hortonville, where they said they found Williams, 47.
He was taken to a hospital after suffering minor injuries and officials say blood tests showed he was driving above the legal limit. Williams was then arrested, issued a ticket and released.
The former professional athlete played for the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Nets from 1990 to 1999.
In addition, Williams spent 18 months in prison in connection with the shooting death of his chauffeur in back 2002; as well as a separate DUI sentence in 2012.
