The Kratom Craze hits the Carolinas

The signs are popping up on interstates, off ramps and major roads.  Kratom, for sale! But what is it?

"It's a leaf that people have been chewing on for centuries for pain relief and mood enhancement," said Clara Plummer, owner of Imperial Kratom.  “If you like coffee, you're probably gonna like Kratom."

It’s cheap, and legal, but is it safe?

“Not sure of the long term what are the long term effects of this drug,” said Edward Blevins, clinical counselor at Anuvia.
