A Syracuse man is scheduled back in Manlius Court in connection with allegedly punching a disabled Army veteran in the face twice.
They say 21-year-old Dominick Vidal of Syracuse turned himself in after claiming responsibility for his actions.
Police say he confronted the veteran about an issue with his service dog at the Fayetteville Dunkin Donuts Monday morning
After the altercation, Vidal allegedly punched the 28-year-old veteran in the face twice and then left the scene.
He is charged with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
The veteran was treated for minor injuries.
