More than 20 Maui County departments will be looking to hire qualified individuals at the Maui County Careers Expo being held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 15 at Queen Kaahumanu Center.

County personnel will be on hand to share information about current job opportunities, provide insight into a day in the life of county employees, offer live interviews and hand out department swag. Attendees will also have a chance to win prize giveaways throughout the day.

Bring a valid government ID, as well as any supporting documents such as your resume, diploma and/or transcripts and certifications. Interview panels will be ready to meet qualified candidates and could potentially make on-the-spot job offers.

The county strongly encourages job seekers to apply online for positions prior to May 15. Application assistance will be available onsite, but those already in the system will have the best chance to take full advantage of one-on-one interactions with department representatives and interview panels, according to the county.

“This is a great opportunity to connect directly with county departments and jumpstart your career with the County of Maui,” County Department of Personnel Services Director Cynthia Razo-Porter said in a release.

The event will also feature live radio broadcasts from Ed & Brandi of 99.9 KISS FM, 10 a.m. to noon, and Mackie from 98.3 DaJam from noon to 2 p.m.
