AUSTIN, Texas -- The severe storms in the middle part of the country are causing headaches for people looking to fly.
More than 1,400 flights across the U.S. have been canceled and 2,600 have been delayed.
Flight-tracking service FlightAware showed that nearly half of the cancellations were at Chicago's two main airports.
Another large chunk came from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport after several tornados touched down in the area.
Austin-Bergstrom and San Antonio International Airports are both seeing flight delays to Chicago and Minneapolis.
