The Transportation Security Administration has a new rule for airport screenings.
TSA screeners can now force anyone to submit to a body-scan, even if that person wants to opt out.
Previously, passengers could request a full body pat down instead.
The TSA says the scanner does not store personal information and improves threat detection.
Specifically, the TSA says the scanners help detect metallic and non-metallic objects that might be missed during a pat-down.
