ODESSA, Texas -- Bond has been denied for a man charged with shooting two police officers during a nine-hour standoff Wednesday at an apartment complex in Odessa, Texas.

Roy Daniel Garza, of San Antonio, was arraigned Thursday on eight counts of attempted capital murder of a peace officer. He also faces a previous aggravated robbery warrant.

Police say Garza wounded the officers as they tried to serve a parole violation warrant. Both officers were hospitalized in fair condition Thursday.

Garza was treated for a leg wound, then booked into the Ector County jail.

The Crisis Management Team and SWAT were on the scene for several hours.

The City of Odessa posted on its Facebook page that Garza was taken into custody around 9 p.m.

A woman was also arrested. Detention Officer Kevin Shockey identified Meghan Leanne Garza as the suspect's wife. She's charged with hindering apprehension of a known felon. Her bond was $50,000.

No attorneys were listed for either Garza.
