Some little elves brought holiday sounds to Texas Oncology patients Tuesday.

Fourth and fifth graders performed new and old holiday songs.

Organizers say the performance provides a way for students to experience the healing power of music.

And it helps patients be part of the holidays.

"There's not a lot that you got left at our age, and with cancer but things like this have real special meaning to you. They really do. They pull at your heart," said patient Jim Byars.

The kids are part of the Serna Elementary School Choir.
