ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Monday’s high temperature was 69 degrees, shattering the previous record of 62 degrees measured in 1901.
"Let's just keep breaking them," Ashley Popen said. "Keep breaking records all of 2015."
"If we didn't see snow, we'd be happy," Jamie Ciccome said.
So far we've seen 1.2 inches of snow, to be exact, and like the first snow of the season, it caused plenty of accidents and slow traffic. It wasn't long though until the sun came out, any semblance of a winter wonderland melted away and here we are today.
"It's confusing me actually, because there's such a big disconnect between the calender and the weather," Maureen Placilla said.
On average, the Rochester area has around 15 inches of snow this time of the year.
"I'm really speechless honestly," Lawrence Dunham, of Rochester said. "It's Dec. 14 and it's like 60 plus degrees."
While people are enjoying a picnic in the park or quick walk around Center City, it's even better for those whose office is outdoors.
"For the most part, we would work through the winter, but this weather has certainly been helpful," Lawrence said.
For others, they're waiting on the hefty winter home investments they've made to pay off.
"I think we paid a lot of money for a plow guy this year, but we probably didn't have to," Popen said with a laugh.
All good things must come to an end, and a cold front filled with showers and a wind advisory is headed our way, although temperatures are expected to remain higher than average.
