The city Health Department has a warning about an illegal aphrodisiac known as "stone" that can cause poisoning and even death.

The department says a 39-year-old man died last week after ingesting a form of the product.

Officials say it's made with toad venom and causes symptoms that include abdominal pain, chest pain and vomiting.

It's sold under names like "Jamaican Stone" and "China Rock."

It is made of a hard, dark brown substance that is sold in chunks less than a square inch in size.

The city's Poison Control Center says there have been seven similar cases since 2000.
