Dutchess County Chef Wins 'Chopped'

A Dutchess County chef tried to make the cut during her appearance on the popular food network show, Chopped.

Dafna MizRahi was a cut above her competition on Thursday night's Thanksgiving show. The 23-year-old graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, currently works and owns Monte's local kitchen and tap room in Armenia, New York.

Monte's is a farm-to-table restaurant which has been in business since 2014.

Mizrahi says her winnings are going to 'Lucky orphans horse rescue', which helps horses and people through the use of equine therapy.
