A former city EMT is arrested after allegedly making a false 911 call on the job.

On August 19, authorities say 27-year-old William Medina was in Queens when he was called for a report of a person with a high fever in Brooklyn.

To avoid leaving the borough, prosecutors say Medina made a 911 call from a payphone reporting that a man was not breathing at a nearby intersection.

A dozen emergency personnel responded as a result.

Medina resigned during the investigation.

He faces charges including falsely reporting an incident and obstructing governmental administration.
