A Con Edison worker is being hailed as a hero after rescuing a toddler who was dangling out of a second story apartment window in the Bronx.

Essa Waggeh had been working nearby in Mount Eden when he heard screams and saw the toddler.

The child had made her way between the air conditioning unit and the window, and was dangling there.

"They were screaming pretty loud, and not only just the yelling, but I saw the baby about to fall,” Waggeh said. “So I just didn't think twice, just ran, got the ladder, set it up and went to go get the baby."

The child was not hurt.

The city Administration for Children's Services is investigating.
