BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Erie County District Attorney's Office announced Thursday that 11 people have recently been arraigned on murder charges for crimes committed in Buffalo. 

  • Denay Foster, 23, faces 25 years to life in prison for the beating death of her daughter, 5-month-old daughter Vernaylah Laventure. Police said the baby was found dead Sept. 23 in their 14th Street apartment. She's been charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter. 
  • Victor Irizarry, 44, faces 25 years to life in prison. He's accused of shooting and killing 28-year-old Nicholas Jozens Sept. 12 on Clinton and Weaver streets. Irrizarry was taken into custody after an hours-long standoff with police. He's been charged with second-degree murder and weapon possession. 
  • Lydell Jones Jr., 30, faces a second-degree murder charge and two counts of attempted second-degree murder. It is alleged that on June 22, 2014, Jones fired several shots on Pershing Street, killing 30 year-old Victor Hernandez, and further, that he attempted to kill two other individuals, both of whom were wounded by gunfire. If convicted, Jones faces a maximum of 75 years to life in prison.
  • Rashawn Austin, 18, was charged with second-degree murder and weapon possession. It is alleged that on Aug. 30, 2015, Austin murdered 28 year-old Timothy Goodwin on Crossman Street by shooting him. If convicted, Austin faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison.   
  • German Rosado-Thomas, 20; and Alvin Marrero, 16; were each charged with two counts of second-degree murder and attempted robbery. They're accused of trying to rob, James McCloskey, 54, while walking down Arkansas Street. They're accused of killing him in the process. They each face 25 years to life in prison if convicted. Mercedes Rosado, 46, was charged with robbery, assault and witness intimidation in connection with this crime. She's accused of threatening a witness to the homicide, and assaulting someone not connected to it. She faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
  • George Mowers II, 21, and Derrick Kocol, 27, were each charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and robbery. It is alleged that on March 18, 2015,  Mowers and Kocol murdered 62 year-old Patrick Dennis by beating him to death during the course of a robbery on Peck Street. If convicted, Mowers and Kocol each face a maximum of 25 years to life in prison. 
  • Michael Holley, 22, was charged with second-degree murder. It is alleged that on July 24, 2015, Holley murdered 54 year-old Glendyln Kinnitt by shooting her on Riley Street. If convicted, Holley faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison.
  • Bobby Price III, 18, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and weapon possession. It is alleged that on Nov. 22, 2014, Price murdered Dominque Harris, 20, and Naim Holt, 20, by shooting them. If convicted, Price faces a maximum prison sentence of life without parole.
