HUNTERSVILLE - A Huntersville doctor is charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Dr. David Shope was arrested last Friday and released from custody yesterday.
A spokesperson from Novant Health sent out a statement, which reads: "While not employed by Novant Health, Dr. David Shope does have hospital privileges at two of our hospitals. Novant Health takes this matter seriously and will work with medical staff leadership to take all appropriate steps to protect our patients."
