ROWAN COUNTY -- The Rowan County Sheriff's Office is investigating a string of break-ins in Mooresville and Rockwell.

In Mooresville, neighbors had wallets, tools, chainsaws and money taken from unlocked cars and unlocked sheds. The thefts totaled more than $1,000.

Dustin Polston, who lives in Iredell County, is charged with 15 counts of breaking and entering and larcenies connected to the break-ins in Mooresville.

Polston is behind bars on a $27,500 bond. However, the Rowan County Sheriff's Office says multiple groups are likely involved.
